Ronnie was introduced to competitive bodybuilding by Brian Dobson, the owner of Metro Flex Gym in Arlington. He won the heavyweight and overall title at his first bodybuilding contest, the Mr. Texas in April 1990. Ronnie went on to win his 7th Mr. Olympia title on October 31 2004.
