WHY O WHY O WHY,
Why is it that I suffer from facial acne and bacne/chest acne while several of my friends with so many more vices than I (smoking, drinking, eating whatever they want) have next to perfect skin. I realize I'm only in my teens and hormones and crap can have an effect but tons of my other teen friends do not have these same problems.
The bacne is the worst part. It's so embarassing and nothing seems to help - I can't seem to figure out what happens in the body to cause it versus facial acne because 2 specific people come to mind that I've known that had terrible terrible facial acne but flawless body skin. I on the other hand have mild to moderate acne in both places.
I've tried so much with no progress really - sometimes I wonder how ancient peoples could bath like once a month and not have the same problems. Sometimes I consider a 'do nothing' approach lol
If anyone has any suggestions on how I could finally fix my body's problem with acne I would be eternally grateful.
thx so much for ne thoughts |

The truth is that it is sometimes very difficult to determine exactly why one person is more prone toward acne while another is not. Factors such as heredity, hormone production, stress, lack of enzymes, disease, medication, and diet can all play a role in how someone develops acne. Obviously, some of these can be difficult to change or manage, but others are simply a matter of lifestyle. The two things that you can best control are the following:
Diet: Although there is no clinical evidence to support that foods like chocolate cause acne, it is likely that certain types of foods or ingredients can aggravate acne in susceptible people. This includes foods that are high in sugar and processed flour (high-glycemic), foods that are high in trans-fats, foods that contain many preservatives, hormone- and pesticide-laden foods such as conventionally raised meats, and others. In short, it is probably beneficial for someone that is prone to acne to eat a diet of primarily fresh, raw, organic fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, and organic meats that are free of pesticides and hormones. Pay careful attention to products that contain grains, eggs, citrus, and other potential allergens; it is possible that you may have food sensitivities, gluten in particular, which can dramatically aggravate acne. It may also be beneficial to drink at least ½ your body weight in ounces of purified water every day. I would also suggest a colon cleanse and a liver/gallbladder flush as well, www.ghchealth.com/liver-and-gallbladder-flush.html. If you are under the age of 18. please speak with your parents or doctor before trying any type of cleansing protocol.
Skin products: It can be very important to use natural, gentle skin care products instead of the many commercial ones that are loaded with synthetic chemicals and harsh astringents. Over-washing a harsh exfoliation can also irritate existing acne. I would suggest natural, organic skin care products whenever possible. Look at Parfait Visage, AquaSpirit, and soaps from E3 Live. These are very pure and work for nearly all skin types. I would also look at 02-Zap, an ozonated olive oil product that can be applied every few days to problem areas to oxygenate the skin and promote regeneration. |
