Any child suffering from this specially for those who ar on junk food, its for the parents to inculcate good and nutritious food in their diet. This should be done right from the very beginning when the child is small so that it develops a taste for them . Healthy and nutritious food can be found in fruits, corn, cereals, porridge, pulses, rice , honey and soya, cheese, nuts, eggs, lean meat such as fish and chicken, soups, juices and green vegetables. All of them contain a right mix of proteins, essential vitamins and minerals which is very essential for a childs growth and development ..Try and give them less fat and prepare things the grilled or lightly sauted so that too much oil consumption is not there.

Whatever you have illustrated here is absolutely correct but the thing is parents who have not already introduced healthy eating habits to their children find it extremely difficult to make their children avoid junk foods as they have a natural fascination towards these foods. Now apart from the dietary habits there are some other things too that count towards this curse called childhood obesity and these are excessive TV viewing or spending too much time in front of the PC playing games as all these means leading a sedentary lifestyle which is devoid of any physical activities. Unfortunately this is what that is happening globally so one needs to put a check to this issue also.

yes, if you start them off with veggies and other natural goodies, it will be harder for them to like meat products. If I am not mistaken it is the lipids part of the meat that make the mouth enjoy the flavor of it.

Even at the womb a mother can change a child's eating habits by making sure they get 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables so the infant can be used to eating them when they comeout. Also incorporating a healthier snack instead of cheap junk will encourage them to eag more. A healthier attitude can also help. If a child asks why they have to eat a certain vegetable the best answer a parent can give is the actual health benefit with its description. For example, if they ask why they eat carrots tell them it helps keep their skin and eyes healthy.
