Doing the 7 day Cleanse with right side pain

I would like to ask one of the Dr.'s about pain on the right side. Is it possible to irritate the appendix when doing the 7 day cleanse? I am at he sixth day and I have a dull, but constant pain on my right side. It just started on the morning of the sixth day. All the other days I've had no problems. It satrted me thinking is the appendix effected during the intestenal clean? Thanks for your respond.

The appendix should not be dramatically affected by doing a colon cleanse. The liver and the gallbladder are both situated on the right side as is one of the kidneys. In addition, the ascending colon, a part of the large intestine, is also on the right. It may be that you are experiencing a dull pain from an excess of gas that has built up but not yet released or from parasites that have been agitated by the increase in oxygen. It is also possible that it is unrelated to the cleanse and is instead the result of a strain or pulled muscle. If this pain persists or worsens, I would suggest visiting with your doctor or chiropractor to rule out some more serious cause.
