About to try my first cleanse, have 3 bottles of oxy-powder, and 2 of paratrex. I have number of questions.

I know your supposed to start at 4 caps and work up to 3-5 bm's per day, all good. So I will do that and then once I've gotten a good routine/schedule for my required number, I'm going to add paratrex to the mix to try to kill all those little buggers. Evil or Very Mad

I plan to eat a diet consisting mostly of soy milk/whey isolate protein mix, raw veggies, blue-berries, fish, chicken, and whole-grain rice. I will try to stay from processed foods such as bread (gum) and other foods such as red meats and animal fats. Will also supplement with a multi-vitamin ( gnc mega-men's) and greens +. Question

Is it a good idea to combine the two? I've read it helps in ridding the body of the parasites; having them flushed out with the help of oxy-powder. Has anyone done this with good results?

Also would like to know who has any thoughts on the need to replace good intestinal bacteria that is flushed out at the same time? I'd like some info on this, products recommendations, etc.

Thanks very much,

Congratulations on your first cleanse. It sounds as if you have a good strategy to follow. I would suggest performing the colon cleanse first for at least a weak with just the Oxy-Powder. At that point, it is often recommended to perform a liver/gallbladder flush to remove gallstones and toxins from the liver and bile ducts. Some people perform this after a parasite cleanse. The maintenance dosage of Oxy-Powder can be taken on the same days as the Paratrex and is encouraged in the product protocol. I would suggest taking Oxy-Powder every other evening during the parasite cleanse. On those days, you can move the second dosage of Paratrex to your afternoon meal instead of your evening meal. This is very sensible as it can help to flush out toxins that can be generated during parasitic die-off.

Oxy-Powder does not cause any significant removal of beneficial bacteria and may actually help it to flourish as the environment of the colon is cleaned up. However, most of us would probably benefit from the addition of these bacteria, especially if we do not eat any of the unprocessed or cultured foods that may contain them. The reality is that many foods such as yogurt that should contain live organisms often do not due to processing. I would encourage you to try Latero-flora, a type of spore-encased soil bacteria. This particular bacterium is used by many physicians, particularly in cases of yeast overgrowth. It does not need to be refrigerated and the natural spore-formation assists in the transit through the acidic environment of the stomach. This means that gut implantation is very efficient. Happy cleansing!

Thanks for the quick response, Dr. One other question i had was concerning meal times, mostly later in the evening. Do you think it would be benificial to not eat after say, 6pm? I was only thinking this because maybe a more empty intestinal tract would improve the results? Any enlightenment you might have on this subject would be great.

Any other tips you can give me? Anyone else want to chime in?

Thanks.

Most people would probably benefit by not eating much later than 6 PM. This should provide sufficient time for the stomach to empty and for the majority of your nutrient absorption to take place. It is generally recommended to allow at least two hours after a meal before taking Oxy-Powder but 3-4 hours may be even better. Of course, keep in mind that digestion can vary dramatically based on the types of food that you eat, the combination that you eat, the efficiency of your digestive system, and even your stress levels and how well you chew your food. All in all, eating a dinner of raw vegetables and a protein source around 6 in the evening and then going to bed around 10 PM is a very healthy schedule.
