hello,
i just joined. my name is tina and i am a 20-year-old vegan female. i do not know my blood type. hopefully this message is in the right place, if not, i apologize.
i feel kind of helpless because up until now i've always known how to help myself when it comes to my health. i never get sick with a sore throat or fever anymore ever since i've tried this new routine of healthy eating (including organics and veganism), but lately i have been feeling kind of ill.
i have been getting a lot of yeast infections, and i don't know what to do for it naturally. i eat raw organic garlic, drink lots of water, avoid all sugars and i am trying to go all raw now. my stomach feels heavy and and kind of bloated but not really bloated like on your period, and i just feel like there's something wrong with my digestive tract. i am thin all over except my stomach. my arms and legs have healthy amount of muscle and almost no fat, but when it comes to my stomach i have a bulge i can't seem to get rid of.
i have an appointment with a N.D. on the 22nd but i don't want to wait that long to get answers, so i thought i'd come here. i think it's great that there's a community and i hope you can help me.
i am new to this whole thing. i like researching things but from all that i have come up with, i have come to the possible hypothesis that i have either (or all of): candida problem; parasite problem. on the phone with the ND, she said it is possible that there may be a heavy metal problem.... there are so many possibilities, including liver health and other things. i don't know what to do! this world seems so confusing to me.
anyways, i want to know what i can do in the meantime. just to let you know, here's a heads up on my situation:
i unfortunately don't know my blood type but will figure it out by thursday. i'm vegan and i supplement with vitamin B12. i have newly been taking coral calcium and vitamin E (from non-GMO soybeans [only available] in a gelatin base--i am not used to gelatin so i don't know if that will have anything to do with my health). i was also taking Udo's super 8 hi-potency probiotics with 8 different strains, 45% L. acidophilus, for a bit. i upgraded to a "better" (more expensive) probiotic called "Seroyal HMF intensive) with two strains of L. acidophilus (18 billion CFU), (unspecified number of strains of both of the following:) bifidobacterium bifidum (3 bil CPU), bifidobacterium lactis (3 bil CPU). i cannot tell what they are coated in from the bottle.
i talked to a ND at a health store in my hometown who suggested i take psyllium husks for insoluble fiber, so i have been doing that for two days.
my symptoms: really weak and like i have no muscle strength, really tired and i sleep all the time, recurring yeast infections if i'm not super careful of what i eat, always have a little bit of a stomach, bloated feeling, moody, mainly depressed and homesick. in my healthiest days i never feel depressed or homesick so i know there is an "imbalance" somewhere.
i would like to know what i can do from now until i see the ND, what i should and shouldn't eat, whether i should continue taking these supplements or stop altogether. the coral calcium and the vitamin E are the ones i newly added.
it also feels like i'm taking way too many things daily and that i shouldn't be. on top of everything listed i would occasionally take E3Live and greens+ but i don't like either so i'm stopping those. it feels like i'm overloading my body with all this stuff.
i just wanna feel better. what can i do? please help me!
thanks so much!
