i was reading We want to live,by aajonas vonderplanitz and i was wondering how healthfull the raw food/primal diet really was?
i ate rare meats before and it's nothing new to me,but raw meats, dairy butter and animal fats???hmmmm, that's really questionable to me..but what about the accounts of it curing diseases and conditions? from cancers to other terminal and dibilitating diseases? it makes me really curious..but then again, concered about the parasites, germs and bugs. The debate is that they eat up diseased flesh and tumors and such, they are natures 'clean up crew' (???) |

I'm not sure abouth this either. As we have no control over the production of the food who knows what bugs might be lurking in the raw food? And I love raw and very rare meat.
I firmly beleive that eating more the way our ancesters ate as they evolved is far better for us. Ie, no refined carbohydrates or additives, lots of meat, vegetables and fruit IN SEASON, only natural fats (butter, olive oil etc) and no added sugar.
Since turning to this diet 12 months ago I have lost 29kgs (from 131kgs), my lifelong migraines have disappeared, my acid reflux/bloating/indigestion has disappeared, and I am no longer tired and depressed.
I feel energetic and WELL for the first time in many, many years. The only time I get a headache now is if I give in to temptation and have white bread. _________________ Odille
