so my sister was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis a while back and was on medications such as vioxx, plaquinel (sp?) and celebrex. she was taking shark cartilage too, and stopped taking the former two and only rarely takes celebrex and that's when her pain is bad.
do you know of any natural approaches, specifically through diet, in which she can assist her body in healing? she is getting better. i believe she may have changed her diet a bit, but she's getting better. she's very young, only 18 years old, and i'd like to help her so that she is not on medications that can cause blindness (like celebrex) and destroy her liver. she'll only end up having more problems in the long run if she continues the meds, so i'd like to get her off them as soon as possible.
i read that wheat and dairy can be a problem for arthritis, as well as red meat because excessive consumtpion of protein causes the body to not absorb certain minerals for some reason and what not. i do not remember, but please update me, and tell me if my readings are wrong or if they are not RA-specific.
thank you for your help! _________________ ».τӘә.« ™ we're all pink on the inside |
