I am 48 yo female. I took the initial dose and became so ill, hot/cold clammy the worst heartburn and stomach cramps, vomitted for hours, almost violently. I can take senna based laxatives the type that promote itestinal wall movemnet and I have lower/ intestinal cramps, but I don't get so sick , but it seems the laxatives that work on drawing water into bowels , cause severe higher/stomach cramps/unbearable. (is this making sense? ) I felt the same way with the pretest laxatives given me at hosp before test. I have only had bms 1 week/during menses a month for years, since teen yrs except when pregnant or when thyroid went super high. It's obvious my hormones effect my whole system. I really want to detox but am afraid to try oxy again, i already tried others ultimate cleanse and colon cleanse but I don't think they clean well ,never get past hard ball stage. any help? gaels _________________ gaels |

Gaels,
Thank you for sharing your story! Although mild detox reactions do occur with Oxy-Powder, the situation that you are describing is very unusual. First, let me say that oxygen-based colon cleansers and osmotic laxatives, like Epsom Salt, work very differently. Oxy-Powder and other oxygen-based cleansers do not cleanse by drawing water and electrolytes into the intestines and stimulating peristaltic movement. Instead, they release monatomic oxygen slowly throughout the length of the digestive tract. It is this oxygen that it truly the active ingredient in this type of product. Fecal compaction and toxins can literally be converted into a liquid and then expelled from the colon. This is a very important distinction since it means that oxygen-based cleansers can be used not only for short-term cleanses, but they can be taken several times a week on a regular basis to promote and maintain colon health.
It is absolutely true that hormonal imbalance affects your entire body. Consider that your hormones are probably the single strongest group of chemical mediators that influence you. With that said, it is likely that your response is one of extreme toxicity. Vomiting, fever, aches, fatigue, lack of mental clarity, rash, and numerous other flu-like symptoms can be directly attributed to a “healing crisis” or detoxification response. Your history of only limited bowel movements for many years probably means that you not only have compaction in your intestines but that they are an ideal environment for bacterial and fungal overgrowth. The introduction of higher levels of oxygen into this type of environment could spark a healing crisis and explain the discomfort that you have experienced.
Your strong response underscores your need to cleanse your internal environment. Depending on the dose that you initially took, I would suggest decreasing it and starting again at 1-2 capsules in order to determine the amount that begins to cause a reaction. In addition, prepare your body to detoxify. Try to eat a diet that is primarily raw, organic fruits and vegetables; drink at least ½ your body weight in ounces of purified or distilled water every day and avoid all caffeinated and sugary drinks. It may also be helpful to add a couple of tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar, a couple of ounces of aloe (R-Pur Aloe brand), and ½ of a lemon to each gallon of water that you drink. This in itself can begin to purify the intestines and promote liver cleansing. Supplements such as IntraMax, a very high-quality multi nutrient blend, and E3 Live or Quantum Greens can also provide some of the basic nutrients necessary to support key detoxification pathways in the body.
If you would like to further discuss your situation, I would also call GHC directly at 1-800-476-0016 between 10-6 CST, Monday-Friday. |
