Questions about Parabuster, pinworms and night sweats

Postby pico on Wed Jan 31, 2007 9:58 am

Hi,

I have been doing the entire cleansing program starting with the Oxypowder colon cleanse, followed by a successful liver/gallbladder flush, and I am now on day 27 of the parasite cleanse with Parabuster. I have a few questions.

When I started the parasite cleanse, in the first week I had problems with pinworms at night. I could feel the pinworms coming out around the anus and it was driving me nuts. This lasted a good 5 days of the first week and then subsided. Before starting this whole cleansing, I had never experienced this. I would occasionally get slight itching around the anus (perhaps once every 3 months or so) at night but nothing to keep me up nor did I ever see pinworms. But when I started the parasite cleanse, I could clearly see them. I figured it was perhaps just the pinworms leaving the system.

Now in my 4th week of the parasite cleanse, the pinworms have returned with a vengeance i.e. much worse than in the first week. Why is this? Should these creatures not be dead by now? Can you please explain what is happening here and provide perhaps more details on what I can do and/or expect?

Another question I have is regarding night sweats. This is something I have had for quite a few years now. I get literally soaked at night. During the second and third weeks on the Parabuster, the night sweats pretty much stopped. I was very happy about that. But now in the 4th week, the night sweats have returned. What is causing this and what does it mean?

I would like to know more about what Parabuster really does and how long it takes to get rid of the parasites. Originally I thought that within the first 2 weeks all the adult parasites would die off and the last 6 weeks of the cleanse was mostly to get any eggs that hatch. Please let me know what is happening here.

Thank you!

It is often recommended to perform a parasite cleanse for at least 6 weeks in order to address parasites in all life-stages, mature, immature, and egg. It sounds as if you may have eliminated most of the mature forms within the first few weeks and now be experiencing a “second wave” off eggs hatching and being expelled. It is also believed by many that parasites themselves may play host to other, smaller parasites that can be released as they begin to die off and disintegrate.

Night sweats are often a sign of detoxification and may be accompanied by fatigue, headaches, difficulty focusing, rash, irritability, and other temporary symptoms. This would probably be a good guess in your case as well except that you have consistently experienced it for many years. It is very possible that it is due to the detox process, but I would recommend visiting with a natural practitioner for a more complete evaluation if it persists after you finish cleansing.

At this point, it is probably best to continue with the flush since you have proof of parasitic infestation. Please make sure that you are drinking at least ½ you body weight in ounces of distilled/purified water every day and attempt to eat as clean a diet as possible, preferably raw and organic vegetable and fruits with only a minimum of processed foods. It is recommended to continue with Oxy-Powder in a maintenance dose during the parasite flush as well.

Following is a list of the specific ingredients and a brief description of the role of each one:

Perma-Guard) Diatomaceous Earth (organic, fresh water-food grade) - DE is an abbreviation of the words "Diatomaceous Earth," which is a fossilized deposit of microscopic shells created by one-celled plants called Diatoms. These plants inhabit all the waters of the earth, and serve as the basic food for aquatic life, just as grass is the basic food for land animals. In animals Diatomaceous Earth has been used effectively for the elimination of worms and parasites without the use of chemicals. The razor sharp edges of the diatoms are what allows for the parasitic quality. As the diatomaceous earth comes in contact with parasites and worms they are lacerated by the sharp edges and thus killed. DE will not hurt beneficial soil micro-organisms. "Ingestion of diatomaceous earth is not toxic to mammals. Rats fed a daily diet containing 5% freshwater diatomaceous earth show no abnormalities after 90 days (Bertke 1964). Dairy farms sometimes feed their animals food containing 1 to 2% diatomaceous earth to control worms and other internal parasites (Allen 1972). Impoverished humans add "fossil flour" to their baked goods in order to stretch their flour supply (Cummins 1975). It is so safe for use on food that the FDA has exempted diatomaceous earth from requirements of fixed residue levels when added to stored grain (Fed. Reg. 1961). The U.S. EPA also allows its use in food storage and processing areas (Fed. Reg. 1981)."

Organically Certified Black Walnut Hull from Green Hull (Juglans regia) - Ancient Greeks and Romans used Black Walnut Hull to treat many kinds of intestinal ailments and to promote healthy microbial activity. It is said to effectively kill over 100 types of parasites. Asians have also used the kernel and the green hull to remove various kinds of intestinal worms. The high tannin content is primarily responsible for its anti-helmintic property, although other constituents such as juglandin, juglone and juglandic acid are most likely involved. Black Walnut is thought to have the ability to oxygenate the blood which, in turn, may kill parasites. The green husk contains organic iodine. Iodine is known to have antiseptic and healing properties which help to fight bacterial infection. Black Walnut has been used to balance sugar levels and burn up excessive toxins and fatty materials. Black Walnut has the ability to fight against fungal infections.

Organically Certified Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citrus Paradise) - Grapefruit Seed Extract is a biologically active botanical extract derived from the seeds and pulp of wild-crafted grapefruit. Grapefruit Seed Extract may possess the ability to kill hundreds of assorted bacteria, virus and fungal strains and also many kinds of parasites. It has been hailed as a broad spectrum antimicrobial compound. Grapefruit seed extract contains the following minerals: phosphorus, potassium, iron and sodium, magnesium and all of the vitamin B group especially biotin which is an important nutrient for the utilization of dietary body fats. The active ingredient (citricidal) of grapefruit seed extract has been known to have the unique ability to safely and effectively eliminate a wide array of potentially harmful disease causing pathogens. Citricidal is said to effectively kill funguses, parasites, viruses and bacteria.

Organically Certified Wormwood Extract (Artemisia absinthium) - Historically wormwood has been used as a vermifuge (agent that expels parasites) and as a medicinal herb. References to Wormwood go back as far as 1600 BC in Egypt. Wormwood can be a powerful vermifuge for roundworms and pinworms. It has also been known to be effective for digestive distress and helps increase secretions of the liver and gallbladder.

Wild-Crafted Male Fern Root (Dryopteris filix-mas) - According to history, Male Fern Root has been used for centuries as a medicinal herb in the elimination of tape worms and liver flukes. Researchers have determined that the chemicals filicin and filmarone found in the oil of the Male Fern Root are toxic to the worms and that oleoresin paralyzes them and keeps them from attaching to the intestine. As tapeworms know no social boundary, it is said that even Louis XVI of France paid a huge sum for a formula containing this herb.

Wild-Crafted American Worm Seed (Chenopodium ambrosioides L.) - The oil of chenopodium, derived from the seeds and other overground parts of wormseed, is an excellent anthelmintic for roundworms, hookworms, dwarf tapeworms, intestinal amoeba, and other intestinal parasites, though it is not as effective against large tapeworms. Before being popularized in the 19th century in America by the medical establishment, American Worm Seed was frequently used by the American Indians as an effective vermifuge. It has also been used as a digestive remedy for colic and stomach pains. Wormseed is also said to have antispasmodic properties. Wormwood contains up to 90% ascaridol which is a powerful worm expellant.

Bromelain - Bromelain was first introduced in 1957 as an important aid to many diseases. It is a proteolytic enzyme that decomposes protein in the body. Scientific literature contains over 600 research articles about Bromelain. It is derived from the pineapple plant and is useful in reducing muscle and tissue inflammation (anti-inflammatory) and also as an aid in digestion.

Wild-Crafted Kamala (Mallotus Philippinensis {MUELL.}) - Greatest use is as a vermifuge for the tapeworm. The worm is almost always passed whole and generally dead. It is known to act quickly and effectively.

Organically Certified Clove - Has been used for many years to help aid the body in the elimination of parasites and parasite eggs.
