Commandments of Healthy Living
1 - Thou shalt
not: EAT RED MEAT
Humans do not have teeth like carnivores or the
saliva to break down meat. We do not have the enzymes
to break up uric acid or LDL cholesterol from meat.
All carnivores have short, pipe like, digestive
tracts that allow quick elimination of decomposing
and putrefied flesh.
Herbivores have long, curvy, snake like intestines
to provide a long transit time through the system
by way of peristalsis. These peristaltic waves are
what breaks up food and allows the nutrients to
be absorbed.All protein ultimately comes from plants,
either directly or second hand from animals feeding
off of plants.
The strongest animal on earth for its size is the
silverback gorilla. It is 3 times the size of man
and 30 times the strength. Their only food is fruit
and bamboo leaves. Meat requires more energy to
digest than it generates therefore it is a negative
energy source.
Between 33 and 90 percent of commercial chickens
are contaminated with salmonella and 80 percent
of pigs have pneumonia at the time of slaughter.
Animal products contain NO
fiber.
Meat contains 14
times more pesticide residues that plant foods.
90% of all cardiovascular
disease stems from meat and dairy products, which
happens to be the primary source of cholesterol
and saturated fat. Cancerous cells feed on animal
protein, which triggers the abnormal proliferation
of cells. The meat in the biblical days was only
3% fat. Beef, the
way it is grown today is 20-30%
fat and pork is 40-60%!
The meat in those days was also free of growth hormones,
pesticides and preservatives.
2 - Thou shalt
not: CONSUME MILK AND DAIRY
Drinking cows milk has been linked to anemia,
allergies, diarrhea, heart disease, colic, cramps,
stomach
ulcers, sinusitis, skin rashes, acne, colds/flu’s,
arthritis, diabetes, ear infections, osteoporosis,
asthma and autoimmune diseases.
Dairy is a tremendous producer of mucous due to
lactose intolerance, which puts extra burden on
the respiratory, digestive and immune systems.
Dairy contributes to heart disease by saturated
fat, high (LDL) cholesterol and the enzyme xanthine
oxidase, which creates problems when milk is homogenized
by damaging arteries.
Milk protein (casein), when pasteurized at 160 degrees,
causes uric acid by-product formation leading to
acidic blood. To balance this out the body pulls
important minerals such as calcium from the bone
leading to premature osteoporosis.
Synthetic formulas like Similac severely lack the
necessary nutrients for growth and are devoid of
enzymes, the life force of all living organisms.
Milk producers add coal-tar-derived vitamins in
an attempt to replace some of the natural vitamins
removed in processing.
3 - Thall shalt
not: usE TABLE SALT
Table salt, sodium chloride,
is an inorganic sodium compound formed by the union
of sodium and chlorine, causing fluid retention
in an effort to keep this poison in suspension and
out of the cells. Table salt, when combined with
inorganic minerals, causes kidney
stones and gallstones,
which can also join with fat in the blood to form
plaques which, harden the arteries.
Sodium chloride draws water from the bloodstream,
causing the body to experience excessive thirst.
Salt is an antibiotic; it kills life! It is used
as a preservative because it kills bacteria (life)
in the food to prevent the natural decomposing of
that food.
Sodium must be in an organic form from organically
grown fruits and vegetables in order for it to be
utilized.
4 - Thall shalt
not: EAT SUGAR
Sucrose is a product of man. During the processing
and refining of sugar, the B- complex vitamins,
enzymes, proteins, and other vitamins and minerals
are removed.
Sucrose has a toxic, poisoning, drugging effect
on the body by fermenting in the body, causing the
formation of carbonic acid, acetic acid, and alcohol.
Acetic acid has a paralyzing effect on the nerves
and literally burns the cells.
Sucrose is one of the main causes of discipline
problems with children, alcoholism, hypoglycemia,
diabetes, crime, rape and a host of other social
ills.
Breakfast cereals contain in excess of 50%
sugar and there is 33%
sugar in ice cream. A 12-ounce
can of cola or soft drink contains 8
teaspoons of sugar!
5 - Thall shalt
not: CONSUME WHITE FLOUR
In the refining of wheat, the miller removes the
outer shell called the bran (fiber) because it leaves
brown specks in the flour. The bran is then sold
to health food stores. Then the germ is removed,
which contains all the nutrients because it gums
up the flour machines. The next step is to bleach
what is left over with a chemical-bleaching agent
similar to Clorox to make it nice and white. Finally,
they add coal tar synthetic vitamins, package it
and sell it to the unsuspecting public as enriched
bread!
Enriched white flour has no fiber and very little
nutritional value! The mixture of hydrogenated,
trans-fatty acids, Calcium carbonate, tap water,
LDL cholesterol, and white flour produces CEMENT!
6 - Thall shalt
not: INDULGE IN FAST FOODS
Fast food is loaded with preservatives, emulsifiers,
stabilizers, pesticides, growth hormones, steroids
and saturated fat.
The heating, processing, refining and microwaving
of all fast foods destroy the enzymes and eradicate
up to 84% of the vitamins and minerals.
Fast food and fat is the leading cause of obesity,
diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease.
7 - Thall shalt
not: SMOKE OR CHEW TOBACCO
Tobacco smoke contains over 16 different poisons,
tars, and oxidative products.
Leading cause of lung cancer, emphysema, pulmonary
disease and circulation problems.
Strangely enough, the government has been pushing
for a bill which would require you to have a prescription
to attain nutrition supplements, while at the same
time nothing is being done to eliminate KNOWN
cancer causing agents like TOBACCO.
8 - Thall shalt
not: TAKE IN CAFFEINE
Coffee is linked to Cancer of the bladder, rectum,
pancreas, colon, ovaries, prostate, and breast.
A single cup quadruples the body’s production
of Hydrochloric acid, raising the temperature
of the
stomach by 10-15
degrees and narrows blood vessels in the brain.
As little as 3
cups daily can create a psychological/physical addiction.
Caffeine is also found in tea, chocolate and most
soft drinks. It constricts the arteries, contributes
to heart attacks and strokes, damages the liver
and kidneys and is extremely addictive.
The volatile oils in coffee are responsible for
damaging the linings of the stomach.
Coffee is a drug! There is nothing in coffee that
the body can use. The only effect coffee has on
the body is to tear it down and destroy cells.
Caffeine is a stimulant that gives a sensation of
exhilaration, but its side effects are mental depression,
nerve exhaustion, decreased muscular power and damage
to the liver, adrenal glands and kidneys.
9 - Thall shalt
not: DRINK ALCOHOL
Alcohol does irreparable damage to the cells, membranes
and tissues as it travels through the liver.
Alcohol poisons the brain, damages nerves, heart,
lungs and liver. Alcohol kills 25,000 people on
highways not to mention disrupts homes, causes child
abuse and spousal abuse and lowers productivity
in the business place.
10 - Thall shalt
not: usE HYDROGENATED OILS
AND FATS
Margarine is the most dangerous "so called" food
on the market. It is made by taking liquid oil
and
bubbling liquid hydrogen gas through it until
it becomes hardened. Then it is bleached, filtered,
and deodorized, producing an odorless, tasteless
artificial fat. This produces trans-fatty acids,
which lead to atherosclerosis and heart disease.

NEWS: How much
Carbohydrate do I really need?
A recent study in the April issue of the European
Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that
at least 200 grams
of Carbohydrate per day is needed for healthy, moderately
active adults. Today there are many debates over
suggested Carbohydrate intake especially relating
to weight loss.
Considering that most people in the U.S. are extremely
inactive (sedentary), this figure may even be too
much. A normal function of the body is the storage
of Carbohydrates in the muscles and the liver in
the form of glycogen These stores total approximately
400-450 grams of
carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. This is
the body’s primary fuel source when activity
is initiated. Typically, the average American
eats 400
grams of carbohydrates per day. It would literally
take a marathon to burn up all of your carbohydrate
stores in one day. If your stores are full and you
continue to eat carbohydrate rich food, the liver
will convert the excess into triglycerides or FAT
and this will be stored in your adipose sites (belly,
thighs etc.), leading to weight gain.
I have found that most of my weight loss patients
will actually have higher energy levels when eating
between 75-150
grams per day. This is typically the level I recommend
for weight loss as well as with those who need to
regulate their blood sugar levels.
It is important to remember that the burning
of fat as a fuel produces far more energy than
the
burning of carbohydrates. If a high carbohydrate
diet is regularly consumed with little to no
exercise, it will be difficult to burn fat. Here’s
some tips to help you reach and maintain your
desirable weight.
Cut
out all sugar based soft drinks
Limit
high carbohydrate vegetables such as corn, peas,
beans, rice, and potatoes
Eat
raw vegetables and fruit in their natural state
or juice them fresh
Eat
lots of fish, especially cold water fish such
as salmon, mackerel, haddock and cod
Snack
on raw vegetables or nuts, specifically almonds,
brazil nuts, pecans, or walnuts (No peanuts- they
contain aflatoxins
Limit
milk intake because milk contains a significant
amount of lactose, a milk sugar and it milk is
poorly digested by the body
Avoid
refined flour, white bread, and sugar based foods
such as cookies, cakes, candies
Acceptable
breads are 100% whole wheat, 7 grain, or spelt
bread and limit to 2-3 servings per day

SPOTLIGHT: IP-6
The latest in the battle against cancer.
Inositol hexaphosphate,
abbreviated IP-6
and also known as phytic acid
or phytate was
first identified in 1855. It is found in all human
cells where it regulates vital cellular functions.
Its concentration is high in heart muscle, brain
and skeletal muscle. Inositol is very important
in maintaining the structural integrity of cell
membranes. Recently, new research has shown its
positive effects against cancer by controlling the
growth of cancer cells. IP-6
is a key component of cell membranes.
Cell membranes protect all cells and allow nutrients
to travel in and waste products to travel out of
the cells. These membranes contain special molecules
called phospholipids made of essential fats and
the mineral phosphorus. Phosphotidyl-inositol is
one of these phospholipids. IP6 is a phosphorylated
form of Inositol commonly found in fiber-rich plant
foods. IP6 is hydrolyzed by phytase enzymes in the
digestive tract to yield inositol. IP-6 may support
natural cell defense against damaging hydroxyl free
radicals by chelating with reactive iron. The following
is an abstract of an article in the Journal of Nutrition,
1995
Inositol hexaphosphate (InsP6, phytic acid) is ubiquitous
in the plant kingdom and is abundant in cereals
and legumes. In much smaller amounts InsP6 and its
lower phosphorylated forms (InsP1-5) are contained
in most mammalian cells, where they are important
in regulating vital cellular functions. Both in
vivo and in vitro experiments have suggested striking
anticancer potential (preventive as well as therapeutic)
for InsP6 with and without inositol. In addition
to reducing cell proliferation, InsP6 increases
differentiation of malignant cells often resulting
in reversion to the normal phenotype. InsP6 is quickly
absorbed from the rat stomach and upper intestine
and distributed as inositol and InsP1. In vitro
it is instantaneously taken up by malignant cells
undergoing variable dephosphorylation to inositol
and InsP1-5, pointing toward their role in mediating
the action of InsP6. Because InsP6 is high in high-fiber
diets, our studies also may explain, at least in
part, the epidemiologic observation showing high-fiber
diets are associated with a lower incidence of certain
cancers. Although further studies are needed to
elucidate the mechanism(s) of this action, inclusion
of InsP6 in our strategies for cancer prevention
and therapy is warranted.
Science now knows IP-6 is more effective against
cancer than a high fiber diet. Earlier studies have
shown that pure IP-6 (without the bran) was a potent
antioxidant that could inhibit cancer. IP-6 slows
down the cell division rate of the cancer cells
but does not effect the normal rate of cell division
in healthy cells. It also enhances the immune system
by stimulating the activity of natural killer cells,
which attack cancer. The exact mechanism of how
IP-6 works as an anti-cancer agent is still not
fully known.
IP-6 is fount naturally in plants, cereals and legumes
(peas, beans). Because of its high phosphorus content,
IP-6 is also important for the production of ATP
or adenosine triphosphate which stores energy in
every cell. Because diets high in fiber are associated
with a decreased incidence of cancer, researchers
think IP-6 (found in plants, cereals and legumes)
may be one of the important factors.
In order to use the IP-6 found in foods they must
be eaten in raw form because they need live enzymes
to release the IP-6. Any food cooked over 110 degrees
will kill the phytase enzymes needed to release
the IP-6 from the food. By the way, soybean seeds
contain up to 2.58% of IP-6, but sesame seeds are
the highest with 5.3% IP-6. It is best to take the
pure preparations of IP-6 in capsule form to make
sure you have all the IP-6 available to the body.
A good IP-6 supplement should contain inositol as
well because IP-6 and inositol work synergistically.
This can be purchased at any health food store or
on the web at any of the major supplement stores.
In addition to be an anti-cancer agent it is also
a powerful antioxidant and can reverse the effect
of damaging free radicals produced during oxidation
reactions in the body. It can also prevent too much
iron in the diet from damaging cells, through its
chelation properties. IP-6 binds to the excess iron,
which would normally cause the formation of hyroxy-radicals
that can damage the cell membranes. The prevention
of cancer is the primary result of this antioxidant
property.

plan for all three days and follow for one week
after.
Day 1 - mix one
gallon of distilled water
with the juice of 3 lemons,
3 grapefruit, and
3 oranges or substitute
pineapple for grapefruit.
Drink this juice throughout the day as much as you
can.
No food for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is limited
to one orange and
one green apple.
Evening bath- mix
2 ounces of cold pressed castor
oil and 2 ounces of organic
olive oil. Rub this over the skin from
head to toe and sit in a hot bath for 15 minutes.
Pat dry and cover yourself with 2
layers of thick blankets or a heated
blanket for 1 hour to sweat out toxins.
Go to bed and get at least 8 hours of sleep
Day 2 - Same as
day one except for bath
Evening bath -
mix one pound of sea salt
(available at your health food store) and one pound
of baking soda.
Mix in hot bath water and sit in bath for 15 minutes.
Day 3 Same as day
one except for bath
Evening bath -
Mix 1 cup Clorox bleach
mixed in hot bath water. Soak in bath for 15 minutes.
This will pull toxic metals from your system
It is important that you follow this program strictly
and it is a good idea to use only organic, chemical
free shampoos, soaps and especially deodorant. Drink
plenty of the juice and also distilled water.
