What is Leaky Gut Syndrome?
updated 01/16/2008
Toxins imbedded in a compacted colon can leak into the bloodstream. This is Leaky Gut Syndrome and it can precipitate a multitude of degenerative diseases throughout the body. Once the gut leaks it leads to increased permeability, through which food particles, heavy metals and other toxin enter the bloodstream.
Other conditions that precipitate leaky gut syndrome are distressed intestinal disorders, such as inflammation of the intestinal lining, Colitis and other disorders.
Constipation presents an optimal condition for leaky gut syndrome to occur. Good and regular colon cleansing with an oxygen colon cleanse is one way to avoid this condition. And, keeping your colon clean will give your intestines time to repair themselves.

A single villus from the colon wall contains a complex network of capillaries for distributing nutrients into the bloodstream. |
The outer sheath of a villus is in turn lined with tiny epithelial cells through which toxins may enter the bloodstream and cause disease. |
